Company/Position Overview

Position is assigned to a CWW night shift. The Process Integration Technician provides direct support, helps maintain critical department goals and customer requests connected to process health and product quality through sustaining excellence, excursion prevention, and coordination of continuous improvement deliverables. The Process Integration Technician also supports the engineering team for any process related needs.

Job Accountabilities

Sustaining Excellence & Excursion Prevention:  Supports production needs to achieve yield and output goals consistently.  Tasks include:

  • Provide on-shift process control, production coaching and engineering support for tools throughout the Module Factory.
  • Disposition material on hold throughout the production line.  This includes deciding to scrap material, hold for further engineering disposition, release material, or request rework.
  • Provide coaching to operators and leads on detection of out of control station monitors.
  • Detect, troubleshoot, and react to out of control integrated process monitors.
  • OCAP: coach operators on the execution of OCAPs.  Propose OCAP improvements as new defects or counter measures are identified.
  • Support new product and process qualifications. This may include new module configurations and changes to critical module materials.
  • Support operators and leads on the analysis of inline tools; react as needed. 
  • Implement Temporary Deviation Notices as needed.
  • Communicate actively with Process Engineering and escalate help requests as needed.
  • Team up with Engineering to prioritize largest systemic needs to improve floor health.  This includes active participation in the Daily Ops Meeting.
  • Monitor line health with online metrics and escalate as needed
  • Support Quality Engineer to identify root cause of both internal and external quality issues.

Continuous Improvement: Supports improvement initiatives for both quality and cost-effective output beyond the existing baseline.  Tasks include:

  • Support the execution of trial runs including documenting plan, training and collecting data. 
  • Perform analysis of improvement results and document to support next stages of implementation.
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of 1-2 years related work experience, or combination of an Associate’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with collecting, analyzing, and reporting large amounts of data using an SPC system.
  • Experience carrying out experiments along with analysis and communication of the results desired.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal; the work is completed in a team environment that is very data-driven.
  • Experience interacting with engineering in sustaining or continuous improvement projects.
  • Good skills in MS Office suite
  • Enjoys challenging interdisciplinary work but also accepts routine jobs as part of the daily job responsibilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables in an often competing environment.
  • Must have the ability to work in an automated manufacturing environment and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to work and train on any of the shifts (day or night).
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts while standing for much of the time.
  • Grade level will be dependent on experience.
