Job Accountabilities

About the Position

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Brand Management, the Internet Marketing Specialist will work closely with the sales and marketing team on a day-to-day basis, as well as communicate directly with various SolarWorld departments to complete projects. In this position, you will project manage small and medium-sized web projects, gather and coordinate content for social media postings, create and maintain email campaigns, update the SolarWorld website, and help with other online initiatives as needed.

 

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Coordinate online marketing projects from start to finish including gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders and working with outside vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and meet business objectives.
  • Track and report key performance indicators of various online marketing projects.
  • Coordinate email and social media marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain the SolarWorld website and keep content updated and accurate.
  • Support other online and offline marketing efforts as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge, and skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration and 2-3 years of experience in online marketing.
  • Basic to intermediate HTML & CSS skills.
  • Basic to intermediate Photoshop knowledge & skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing small and medium-sized online projects from start to finish including working with subject matter experts, defining requirements, keeping project on schedule, and managing agency activities.
  • Demonstrated experience using a content management system (for example: Sitecore, Ektron, DotNetNuke, etc) to manage and create content on a website.
  • Experience creating content for and posting to social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, creating content calendar, working with email lists, creating HTML emails, tracking results.
  • Good understanding of online best practices (eg: customer experience, SEO, web design)
  • Familiarity reading and interpreting website metrics data (Google Analytics or similar)
  • Solid experience with MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to synthesize data required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management system preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment. 
  • Strong organization skills, detailed and process orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Skilled in the use and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Attendance is a mandatory function of this position.
