Job Accountabilities

 

About the Position

Reporting to the Head of Sales Operations, the Inside Sales Representative ensures the customer is satisfied with company products, services and support, and works closely with Account Managers to oversee day-to-day relationship with client and supporting sales with the entry and maintenance of sales related transactions. This may include ensuring schedules and budgets are met according to contractual agreements. Primary responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Act as the liaison between customers, account managers and order management.
  • Review and record customer information.
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotes and bids.
  • Track and report the award of contracts in the system.
  • Review terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Build relationships with existing customer base through targeted outreach and promotions
  • Process sales related transactions including but not limited to order entry and confirmation, invoicing, credit and debit memos, and project billings.
  • Enter, coordinate, schedule and track the shipment of product through deliver creation, preparing shipping requests including ship to creation and on-going communications with shipping and receiving staff.
  • Participate in internal product discussions to compile and communicate changes in planning and production schedules that may result in backlog changes (dates,  revised orders,  product changes,  qty changes) to appropriate relationship management specialist.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate maintenance, filing and retention of customer related documents.
  • Professionally handle incoming requests to resolve issues.
  • Provide quality service and support in a variety of areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline.  Consideration will be given to candidates without a degree who can demonstrate equivalent knowledge gained from additional professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in a customer support role.  Preference will be given for those candidates who have recent experience in solar or a related renewable energy industry. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Preference given to candidates who demonstrate an understanding of SAP and Targit or related business intellengence system
  • Must be able to work independently as well as thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment. 
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate prior ability to obtain business results by working collaboratively in a multi-cultural, multi-site organization.
  • Ability to work with customers to ensure documents are completed properly.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). 
  • Experience interacting with customers and ability to request information in a professional manner.  This position may experience high call volume and require the ability to respond to multiple, and competing request during the workday.
  • Experience in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to synthesize data required.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as thrive in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven, team environment.
  • Strong desire to bring best practices to the team, share your knowledge and expertise and enable your team members' mutual success as the organization continues to grow.
  • Strong organization skills, detailed and process orientation.
  • Attendance is a mandatory function of this position.
