    Job Accountabilities

    About the Position

    The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the initiatives of the field sales organization by selling the company’s products and/or services to customers in an assigned territory, industry, and/or segment.  Sales related activities include generating prospective customers through qualifying sales leads and/or cold calling through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities.   

     

    Primary responsibilities for this position include the following:

    • Represent SolarWorld in full-cycle, sales-oriented activities.
    • Partner with territory account managers to execute sales strategy designed to expand market share and maximize revenue growth.
    • Focus on acquiring new customers while retaining and growing existing customer base.
    • Generate, develop and qualify leads and prospects through cold-calling and other lead generation activities.
    • Review, filter and track new and existing sales opportunities in CRM system.
    • Work with marketing to develop sales presentation collateral and project proposals.
    • Keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the company.
    • Prepares activity and forecast reports as requested by sales and territory account managers.
    • May act as sole sales representative for specific accounts and/or products.
    • This role is overlay to the field sales force and carries a team quota that is shared with the field.
    • Other duties as assigned, maintaining flexibility to support company objectives.

    The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge, and skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an inside sales role.
    • Demonstrate success obtaining business results by working collaboratively in a multi-cultural, multi-site organization.
    • Proven experience developing new accounts.
    • Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills, including a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
    • Must have the ability to prioritize multiple and often competing priorities. 
    • Ability to effectively accomplish goals while working in a team-based, open-office environment.
    • Strong desire to bring best practices to the team, share your knowledge and expertise and enable your team members' mutual success as the organization continues to grow.
    • Skilled in the use and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
    • Attendance is a mandatory function of this position.
